Universal Studios, Los Angeles – Ride Recommendations and Ratings
A trip to Los Angeles would be incomplete without a visit to the Universal Studios and Universal Studios is the place where moving making experience comes to reality along with Studio Tour, live Water Works, exciting rides, and attractions. But then, only well- planning helps to maximize your time in the studios and enjoy the world-famous attractions.
Here are my recommendations and ratings for the rides in Universal Studios
My Recommendations and Ratings for Rides:
Note: King Kong 360 didn’t function during our visit to the park
Water World (5/5): This is a 20 minutes live show where well-trained champions perform stunts for the entertaining audience. Please never ever miss this show. This is my favorite attraction in the Universal studios where one can witness perilous plunges, firefights, jet-skiers, massive explosion and the plane crash in real. The show is really beyond words and it’s an experience which everyone visiting Universal Studios should experience without fail. Please do check the show timings once you enter the park and plan your day accordingly Studio Tour (5/5): As I mentioned above, this is the must do tour in Universal Studios. Please plan during the afternoon when there is scorching sun and also to give your legs a rest. This is the biggest can’t miss tour in the park. This is approximately 60 minutes tour where you will visit 13 city blocks (Main streets the USA, New York, France) creatively designed in the back lot of the park. Hold on for the finale of the tour – Fast & Furious, Super changed. The Special Effects Show (4.5/5): If you are a curious person who wants to know the reality behind the stunts in the film, then don’t miss this show. The show explains the different formats of the stunts performed in the films and the secrets behind the realistic combat sequences in the film. Watch the performers who recreate sounds, sights and illusions that fools the camera and presents an unforgettable experience to the audience through the films like Horror scenes, Zero gravity experiments, firefights and live animation Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey (4.8/5): If you are a fan of the Harry Potter, then you will love this simulated ride where you ride with your favorite Harry Potter leading your way. Join Harry Potter and soar above the Hogwarts. Witness magical characters, Dumbledore’s office and leave with an unforgettable experience. Visit the shops in the Wizarding world of Harry Potter and taste the Butter Beer! Transformers The Ride 3D (4.5/5): This epic ride brings fiction to reality and leaves you awestruck wondering about the advancement in the technology. Fight along with Optimus Prime in the war zone and try to survive. That’s one of the next generation rides which sends chills down your spine. Despicable ME Minion Mayhem (4.3/5): Experience the Minion Mayhem. Join Gru, his daughter and the minions on this 3D simulated ride. Gru will recruit you for his project – to convert human to Minions, gives you ‘Minion Training’ and takes you to a trip inside his laboratory. Try to catch the bananas, if you can. When the mission fails, you will still be human and leave with a hearty laugh. The Simpson’s Ride (4.5/5): Experience the Virtual reality. Embark on a virtual journey with The Simpsons in this indoor simulations and travel through the KrustyLand, Krusty – the Clown's theme park. Meet your favorite Simpson characters from Springfield on your way. This simulation will definitely leave you in a “WOW” state. The AMC Walking Dead (3.8/5): How could I miss this attraction? This is not a ride but kind of a scary house where you will walk through the iconic landscapes of the series and witness hungry walkers trying to grab you. This was a letdown for me as I expected much more. Jurassic Park – The Ride (4/5): A river raft adventure in the Jurassic Park based on the movie – Jurassic Park. Ride through the Jurassic World, witness dinosaurs in your way and hold on tight for the thrilling plunge at the end of the ride Revenge of the Mummy – The ride (NV): This was advertised as the deadly ride in the park where you travel with ghastly creatures. I wanted to really try this ride but then I recently had been hospitalized and my friends were really concerned about my health. No loose particles are allowed in the ride. Do try the test seat available before you experience this deadly ride Super Silly Fun Land: Play area where you can play with Minions and watch out for the Minions on the Boardwalk Silly Swirly Fun Ride: As the ride states, it’s silly and swirly fun ride. The ride has 12 uniquely- style vehicles which soar and spin you to give you a 360-degree view of the Super Silly Fun Land. I highly recommend this ride for Kids.
