If you are in Pittsburgh, then you need to visit Raccoon Creek State Park. Raccoon Creek State Park is one of Pennsylvania’s largest and most visited state parks. The park encompasses 7,572 acres and features the beautiful 100-acre Raccoon Lake.
The raccoon park has become one of my go-to places every weekend to take out the stress of the week. And enjoying the nature from the lakeshore is such a bliss. Another reason for my frequent visits is the Wildflower Reserve in the park.
The Wildflower Reserve contains one of the most diverse stands of wildflowers in western Pennsylvania — more than 700 species of plants. I visited the park during early spring for a Photowalk. Presenting you some of my favorites here.
