Mary Berry’s Fork Biscuits – Delicious biscuits with oodles of butter and baked to perfection; melts just like that in your mouth with your morning coffee or afternoon tea
It’s been 4 years since I started the blogging journey and I have come a long way in the journey. KarthisKitchenStudio turned 4 by yesterday. The blog is the result of my love for cooking and to maintain a journal of the recipes I tried and tested in my kitchen. Through cooking, I figured that I am more drawn towards photography and being a traveler, it helped me to explore my photography skills further. If you are a regular follower of my blog, you would have noticed that I had published a lot of travel stories last year. I had my first wildlife photography trip last year to Masai Mara and it kindled my passion towards capturing the beauty of these majestic creatures and observe them close by.
I am so thankful to all my readers for sticking with me for the last four years and supporting me in all possible ways. I wish and promise to be more regular in this space.
We are in the fourth week of working from home and I hope this is the new normal until the entire pandemic situation is figured out. I do see everyone cooking up their favorite recipes, spending quality time with loved ones and picking up a new hobby to spend their time. I also saw a Meme – a picture with people in the queue and with a statement “People standing in queue for Masterchef program after COVID. No wonder, we might end up in such a situation as everyone started cooking up recipes and social media is being flooded with posts about recipes and how to do videos.
I have used to working all day in my PJ’s on my sofa and occasionally walking inside the home. It does build up anxiety and at times, I want to get out and meet people. But, then, I am scared of the situation outside and every day we see an increase in the number of positive cases of Coronavirus. I salute the front runners – doctors, nurses, and people at the essential businesses who are braving the world and still providing service for those in need. Heartfelt thanks for their unparalleled services to humanity.
There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Yes, I do believe firmly in these words and let’s hope that good times are ahead.
Now about the recipe, today’s recipe – Fork Biscuits – is from one of the books written by Mary Berry – Mary Berry’s Baking Bible. If you have watched the Great British Bake Off, you would have known Mary Berry and her awesome recipes. I had her books and finally, it’s time to check out the recipes in the book, try them and blog them here. Today’s recipe is one of the simplest recipes from the book and can be easily prepared with the items at the pantry.
Ingredients:
Makes 16 Biscuits
