Chicken Tostadas is a Mexican delicacy prepared with Indian Spices and Flavors
Hope everyone is having a great week. Today’s post is a simple Mexican recipe which is usually my time savior and protein packed for my tightly packed days. Yes, it is Tostadas! Tostadas are a great option for office goers and you can grab on the go! Of course, eat on the go!
Tostadas is a Mexican delicacy which can be prepared in a jiffy and a great option for dinner. Tostadas can be fried, grilled or just eaten raw. When your corn tortillas are not fresh enough to prepare tacos, then prepare tostadas. When you are looking for a protein-rich International cuisine with an Indian touch, then chicken tostadas is the best option to please everyone at the dinner table. Serve chicken tostadas with tomato salsa on the sides. Now Mexican Tostadas comes with Indian Flavors!!
Ingredients:
- 2 Corn Tortillas
- 1 cup of cubed Chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- ½ teaspoon Red chili powder
- ½ teaspoon Coriander powder
- ¼ teaspoon Garam masala powder
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- ½ lemon juice
- ¼ cup shredded cabbage
- ¼ cup Sour cream
- ¼ cup chopped coriander leaves
Method:
- Heat oil in a small Kadai. Once the oil is hot, add chicken pieces.
- Add red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and salt to the chicken pieces
- Cook chicken over medium heat until the pieces are fried well
- Set aside. Alternatively, you can grill chicken in the oven if you are diet conscious.
- Heat a Tawa over medium flame.
- Cook corn tortillas until both the sides turn lightly brown.
- Let’s arrange tostadas now. In a corn tortilla, spread sour cream evenly.
- Place fried chicken pieces above the sour cream. Sprinkle the shredded cabbage on top of the chicken.4
- Season with lime juice. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve Tostadas warmly with tomato salsa on the sides.
